Pilates combines the physical aspects of Yoga, dance and boxing to strengthen core stability and compliment the natural alignment of the body. Its slow, controlled method helps improve body awareness and balance strength against flexibility. Although it is ideal for athletes to help enhance their performance and aid/relieve injury it can also benefit just about everyone, regardless of age or fitness level.

Recomended by osteopaths, physiotherapists and general practitioner alike, Pilates is fast becoming one of the safest forms of exercise around! In order to practice pilates effectively you will need to grasp the basic philosophy behind the method:

Concentration
Relaxation
Alignment
Breathing
Centring
Co-ordination
Flowing Movement
Stamina

 

Getting started

 

Wear clothing that permits freedom of movement but that will allow you to check your own alignment. Bare feet is best but you may also wear socks. Basic equipment is provided but if you wish to provide your own mats and cushions you can bring these along.

 

Terms and Conditions for Pilates

 

Payment is for your place in the Group Session that you have enrolled onto
Payment must be taken prior to sessions and paid per block at reception.

£60 per 6wk block

Unfortunately NO REFUNDS are given if you're unable to attend.
A MINIMUM of 48hrs notice must be given if you wish to cancel either a class or PT session.
An extra Catch-up session will be re-sheduled on a different date/time where/if possible.
