Osteopathy for aches, pains and work related injuries at our new clinic in Cavendish Square, London W1
With 1 in 3 adults experiencing back pain every day, our osteopaths know that keeping to work deadlines and keeping your body at optimum efficiency is what you need in order to maximise your potential in the office. If you are in constant pain this can limit your efficiency and concentration at work.
By catering a treatment plan to you and taking your lifestyle and workstation into consideration we help to limit any aggravating factors that may be limiting your recovery. Our aim is to get to the root of the injury and reduce your pain. Workstation assessments, also known as Ergonomics, measure the relationship between the person, their environment, and the tasks they perform. In order to work in the most effective manner, it is essential to consider all the aspects of your working area. Our assessment services take everything at your desk into consideration; from the height of your chair and desk, to the position of your mouse and phone.
What is an Osteopath? And what will they do?
To qualify, our osteopaths have studied for four to five years for an undergraduate degree. This is considered to be similar to a medical degree, with more emphasis on anatomy and musculoskeletal medicine and includes more than 1,000 hours of training in a clinic setting. Your osteopath will address every part of your lifestyle from your past history, exercise, and your working environment. These factors will help come to an accurate diagnosis and a manageable treatment plan.
For example, postural problems lead to pain and misalignment, where the pain may not be felt until later, but everyday activities like standing for too long, driving to work, sitting at a desk, and standing on the tube can affect how the body is feeling and working.
Our osteopaths at Woodside firmly believe in exercise rehabilitation which is catered to the individual and recognises your personal strengths and weaknesses to ensure that the correct muscles are exercised within their limit. We want to teach you how to maintain your body and inspire you to keep it healthy.
Late evening and lunch time appointments available for your convenience...
Here at the clinic we want to ensure that you benefit from our highly regarded service but can still get back to your desk for that meeting or conference call. We will tailor our treatments to your needs and the demands of your lifestyle.
We work till late in the evening so that you can still have treatment after work and get home easily. Being in central London it means that we are equally close to Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus tube stations.
